Region of Peel
The Region of Peel, which represents three municipalities (Caledon, Mississauga, and Brampton), is assessing the effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of their existing emergency food distribution system. In part 2 of the research, Eco-Ethonomics Inc. is reviewing innovative solutions and system-level interventions for addressing food insecurity in other jurisdictions around the world. We are also hosting an online Food Security Innovation Lab with food impact leaders from Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Germany and more! Together we will shape the future for food access in the Region of Peel. By determining priority areas for strategic decision making in a final report, the Region of Peel Council will be able to move in the right direction towards solving food insecurity in the area.
