Social Research and Planning Council
The purpose of the Social Research & Planning Council (SRPC, a branch of the United Way of Perth Huron) is to collect, analyze and distribute information relating to social trends and issues in Perth and Huron Counties, in order to promote informed decisions on how the needs of those who are living in the counties will be best served. Eco-Ethonomics Inc. is working with the SRPC to investigate newcomer experiences in small and rural communities, specifically Perth and Huron Counties. The outcome will be a research report that will strive to reveal the barriers and obstacles newcomers face in Perth and Huron Counties, and determine what service gaps and employment barriers exist in this area.
