HealthNexus
Eco-Ethonomics worked with Health Nexus on assessing the feasibility of their Social Network Mapping and Analysis service. Health Nexus – formerly the Ontario Prevention Clearing House (OPC) – has extensive experience in community engagement and network development. Through the processes in the network mapping service Health Nexus visualizes and interprets connections within a group or network to strengthen its work and effectiveness. Using both electronic survey technology and mapping software, it generates a network map to provide a baseline ‘snapshot’ of the current levels of connection within local partnerships and communities. By first mapping and then analyzing a network, groups are able to identify key opportunities for community engagement and network development. The purpose of this service is to strengthen the effectiveness of organizations involved in the networks.
