Plan International is one of the oldest and largest international development organizations working with its partners on ending global poverty by helping children in developing countries realize their full potential while enjoying full protection of their rights and dignity. Eco-Ethonomics has been hired to design Youth-Led Dialogues on Gender Equality and Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5 in Canada and abroad. The goal of this project is to help young people identify actions they can take to challenge harmful gender norms in their communities, inform decision-makers about youth perspectives on this topic, help youth develop SDG implementation plan on gender equality and support a “Youth Summit” in advance of the G7 where the youth will develop and present recommendations to decision-makers on achieving SDG 5 and related targets worldwide.
