Young Women's Christian Association
The Young Women’s Christian Association is one of the most established and recognized organizations serving women in Canada. They provide employment training, affordable housing, community aid, and a wide range of services that support women. Eco-Ethonomics Inc. was engaged in the facilitation of a workshop where leadership from across Canada came together at the YWCA’s Annual Membership Meeting. With a multitude of topics covered, Eco-Ethonomics provided an opportunity to learn about social enterprise and its potential for women’s social and economic inclusion. The workshop was hosted by the YWCA Hamilton and focused on how social enterprises can effectively train, support and empower women who are underemployed and/or marginalized. Over 65 women participated in the Strengthening Women’s Leadership Through Social Enterprise throughout the day.
