St. Jamestown Community Cooperative
Eco-Ethonomics Inc. collaborated with C. Lang Consulting to assist the St. Jamestown Community Cooperative to develop a social enterprise model for running a pop-up community café on a “Pay What You Can” basis. The group sought to pull the community together and improve health and well-being through making healthy, prepared food affordable. The coaching lasted six months and included 12 volunteers that conducted market research and site assessments, prepared financial scenarios and also tested the market. The result of the feasibility study was that the group formed a community cooperative and planned to run the community café as a popup event periodically throughout the year.
