Simcoe County

The County of Simcoe Children’s and Community Services department is seeking to develop a Food Security Framework to further awareness, coordination and development of approaches designed to enhance food security for all residents. Eco-Ethonomics has been hired by this department to research and produce this framework in coordination with the County, the provincial Poverty Reduction Team and community partners.

Coalition for Healthy School Food – “Say Yes” Campaign

Community Hubs Secretariat

The Community Hubs Secretariat published an Action Plan in 2015 after extensive consultation and research. Environment and Climate Change Canada

Mikisew Cree First Nation, Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation, Métis Local 125, and McMurray Métis and other communities and organizations, and as well as Environment and Climate Change Canada, various orders of government, the private sector, and education providers are collaborating on an initiative to strengthen Indigenous employment in environmental monitoring. Eco-Ethonomics Inc. and associates are currently working with Huron County to develop a food policy council and food charter across Huron County.
