Eco-Ethonomics worked with the steering committee, including founding members of the Growing for Green organization to assess the feasibility of an urban orchard planning, planting and maintenance social enterprise. This work stemmed from the Ben Nobleman Park Community Orchard which was the development of the first community orchard in a public park in Toronto.

We have worked with St. Leonard’s Place Peel to develop their social enterprise which offers cleaning, moving and lawn maintenance services across the Region of Peel. Eco-Ethonomics worked with Green Communities Canada to assess the feasibility of its self-financing community retrofit business concept to include major financial institutions and municipalities across Ontario. The social enterprise offers a community based approach to home energy retrofits which possesses great potential for improving energy efficiency on a wide-scale.
